Zayn Malik recently wowed his fan with a beautiful video of him. The singer took to his Instagram and shared an acapella version of himself singing from One Direction’s fourth studio album, Night Changes. Seven years after parting ways with one of the best-selling boy bands of all time in 2015, the singer had fans going wild when he shared a video of himself singing the song.
In a black and white video clip, Malik can be seen singing with feeling. While he showed off his rich voice, his father showed off his tattoo almost on his sleeve, including a yin-yang sign tattooed on his left wrist, a checkered flag, and a lotus flower. Directors quickly flooded his comments section with messages of support, with many saying his ears were “blessed” after hearing the performance on Zayn Malik’s Instagram.
Zayn left One Direction in March 2015 to the shock of the Directioners the group had garnered since he rose to fame on the X Factor in 2010. However, in his first book, an autobiography titled Zayn, published in 2016, he reflected on his decision to leave. Only one direction. Zayn wrote in his book, “I had been in a bad place for a while and I couldn’t see myself getting out of it unless I made a change.”
The former One Direction member added: “My relationship with my [ex] fiancee perrie [Edwards] it was falling apart. To make matters worse, there were so many crazy stories about us in the papers.” Zayn later revealed in his autobiography that due to the pressure he was feeling with the increasing media scrutiny of her past relationship, he said he “just wanted to go away for a while.” The singer adds that it was during a One Direction concert in Hong Kong that he finally made the decision to leave.
Zayn explained, “I wasn’t going to spend another minute doing something that made me sick and that I no longer believed in.” “I couldn’t see anything left for me to give or gain by staying,” he recalled. The singer added: “It wasn’t worth it.” He continued: ‘The memory of that night is a bit blurry. I was screwed, but I finally realized something that I already knew deep down and have known for a long time. I was leaving the band and going home.”
