Emilia Clarke’s mysterious Secret Invasion character has reportedly been revealed. Marvel Studios is expanding its Universe after Avengers: Endgame, finally giving Samuel L. Jackson’s Nick Fury a solo series on Disney+. The upcoming series, Secret Invasion, puts Fury in the lead alongside familiar faces like Maria Hill and Talos as they investigate a Skrull takeover plot.
The highly anticipated MCU Phase 5 series will also include several major stars, including Olivia Colman, Kingsley Ben-Adir, and Game of Thrones star Emilia Clarke. Ever since it was announced that Emilia Clarke is in the cast of Secret Invasion, various fan theories have been circulating on social media. Marvel has recently shed light on the star’s role. Clarke will reportedly play Abigail Brand.
The show’s official social media account recently shared gifs featuring Emilia Clarke’s character and is titled “Its The Beginning Abigail Brand.” The gif features Clarke’s character saying “It’s the beginning”, seemingly confirming that Emilia will be playing Abigail Brand in Secret Invasion. In the Marvel comics, Abigail Brand is a half mutant/half alien who eventually becomes the leader of the SWORD, which was introduced to the MCU in WandaVision.
He has pyrokinesis powers in the comics and various encounters with the Avengers and the X-Men. Abigail Brand’s role in the Secret Invasion comics is limited, but she helps free Mister Fantastic from the Skrulls. After going to the Savage Land together, they create a device that reveals which Earth heroes are actually Skrulls. Secret Invasion is reportedly gearing up to be one of Marvel’s best series. The series will follow Fury and Talos who try to stop the Skrulls but have infiltrated the highest spheres of the Marvel Universe.
Marvel’s upcoming series is certainly one of the most highly anticipated with the trailer hinting at a paranoid setting that could be recurring in Phase Five. The series will also feature a batch of familiar faces, including Don Cheadle as James Rhodes/War Machine and Martin Freeman as Everett K. Ross. Other cast members include Olivia Colman, Christopher McDonald, Carmen Ejogo, Kingsley Ben-Adir, and Killian Scott.
