Jared Leto to star in ‘Tron: Ares’

Jared Leto is set to star in the 2010 sequel tron: legacy after his supervillain Morbius flop. The actor will take on the new role in the upcoming legacy sequel. Tron: Ares, as reported by Deadline. The rocker has long been linked to the upcoming film after it was reported in 2017 that he would star in a thunder movie as a new character named Ares.

Disney is producing the film after co-producing the previous two films in the series. However, Disney is reportedly in talks with director Joachim Rønning, who previously directed Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales (2017) and Maleficent: Mistress of Evil (2019), to direct the upcoming sequel.

Additionally, the outlet also reported that a team is being assembled for the big-budget production, which will begin production in Vancouver, Canada in August of this year. The sequel was a huge success at the box office, grossing $400 million against a budget of $170 million. Lion Director Garth Davis was reported to be on board as director of the sequel starring Leto in August 2020, as the outlet reported.
