Professional wrestling is a physically demanding sport, and only those with the proper determination and fitness can think of making a career out of it. Aside from technical skills in the ring, another trait that makes a fighter a perfect fit for the business is his strength. Over the years, we have seen countless fighters who made a career for themselves just because of their unmatched strength and achieved great things.

Similar fighters can be found in the current WWE list too, who have made a name for themselves with their powerful wrestling style. With that said, let’s take a look at ten of the strongest wrestlers on WWE’s current roster.

With some recent new signings as well, there are more on the list who are in the conversation of being considered the most powerful not only in WWE, but in the wrestling business as a whole.

13/13 baron corbin

It can be easy to forget the impressive size of Baron Corbin, who is among the tallest on the list. In NXT, he was the biggest powerhouse on the roster, though this distinction feels a bit lost on the main roster. With a wrestling and soccer background, he is someone with legitimate sports credentials.

WWE fans may not be too enthralled by much of his booking, but he can be seen on a weekly basis throwing down opponents, pulling off his moves on anyone of any size.

12/13 Sheamus

Sheamus has been a mainstay on WWE television for over a decade at this point, and in that time he has shown himself to be one of the most powerful and strongest on the entire roster.

He has matched the strength of the likes of Drew McIntyre, Big E, Triple H, and John Cena over the years, and he also showed his strength during a feud with The Big Show, in particular, picking the world’s greatest athlete with what which looked easy in his matches back in 2012. He can often be seen improving his strength on his personal Youtube fitness channel “Celtic Warrior Workouts” which often has guests from other WWE wrestlers.

11/13 braun strowman

Braun Strowman recently returned to WWE with a huge point to prove after being let go from the promotion over a year ago. He is someone who has a crazy mix of size and speed, and he is arguably up there with the best workers in WWE history.

With a massive frame, a strongman background, and a towering height of over 7 feet, Strowman is without a doubt one of the strongest men in WWE, if not the strongest. Although some of these locations have been spoofed, WWE has pushed him as such by having him perform amazing feats, like overturning an ambulance in an iconic WWE moment.

10/13 bron breaker

Reigning NXT Champion Bron Breakker, who is currently in his second title reign, is without a doubt one of the strongest wrestlers on WWE’s current roster. As the son of legendary WWE Hall of Famer Rick Steiner, Bron Breakker has done justice to his father’s legacy by adopting the same wrestling style in his career as well.

Breakker has dominated his opponents during his matches and can attribute most of his career success to his incredible physicality and unmatched power. He is having a dominant run in NXT so far, and he can continue the same momentum once he makes it to the main roster as well.

9/13 gunther

Reigning WWE Intercontinental Champion Gunther has the unique combination of an exhilarating character, insane strength and, with his recent transformation, a terrific physique as well.

He introduced the WWE Universe to his dominant style of wrestling during his time in NXT UK, under his original ring name WALTER. He brutalizes his opponents with his high offensive moves, especially the merciless blows he lands on his opponents, which almost rips the skin off their chest. He is doing well on the main roster so far, and we can expect great things from the Intercontinental Champion in the days to come.

8/13 Rhea Ripley

Rhea Ripley has a completely different build compared to the other wrestlers in the WWE women’s division. She didn’t look quite the same as her when she made her WWE debut at the inaugural Mae Young Classic, but she surprised fans with an incredible transformation that showcased a more ripped physique.

She is clearly one of the strongest female wrestlers on the WWE roster and is visibly bigger than most male wrestlers. She has rewarded her well thus far as she is a former NXT and NXT UK Women’s Champion, WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion and Raw Women’s Champion.

7/13 bianca belair

Before making her professional wrestling debut with WWE, Bianca Belair was a CrossFit competitor and powerlifter, which required her to always stay in the best shape possible.

Like Rhea Ripley, Bianca Belair also relies on her power to come out on top in most of her matches. We’ve seen Belair dominate her opponents and lift them onto her shoulders on a regular basis, and we’ve also shown her immense strength by lifting superstars like Otis and Doudrop and proving that she is the strongest in WWE.

6/13 roman kingdoms

Roman Reigns doesn’t get enough credit for the immense strength he displayed during his matches over the years. The Tribal Chief broke through on the WWE main roster as the powerhouse of The Shield, and his previous experience as a defensive tackle during his football career made it easy for him to outmatch his opponents.

He has tons of power behind every move he makes and has shown his unmatched strength on multiple occasions. He, too, used his break during the pandemic to get in the best shape of his career, and the Tribal Chief reaped the reward with his historic world title run.

5/13 omos

Omos is the latest addition to the roster of giants in WWE history, as the 7-foot-3 monster has been dominating his competition since making his main roster debut as an enforcer and tag team partner to AJ Styles.

He had everything Vince McMahon likes in a wrestler and was immediately rewarded with a tag team championship run with Styles. He proved that he could be with the big boys with his feud against former mentor AJ Styles and Bobby Lashley. With MVP managing him, we can expect Omos to make a name for himself as a solo star in the days to come.

4/13 drew mcintyre

Drew McIntyre looked no different than any normal WWE Superstar during his first run with WWE, which ended with his release after having to work as part of the 3MB comic faction alongside Jinder Mahal and Heath Slater. However, he reinvented himself on the indies and during his time in Impact Wrestling and got in the best shape of his life, which opened the doors of WWE again.

This time, he shifted his focus to a more powerful wrestling style, which saw him run through his competition, leading to him winning two WWE Championships.

3/13 big e

Former WWE Champion Big E is known for the immense strength he displayed throughout his in-ring career. He had a successful powerlifting career before making the jump to professional wrestling, and his records include a 711-pound squat, 529-pound bench press and 799-pound deadlift.

Those who are following Bobby Lashley’s career over the years will have no doubt that he is one of the strongest fighters in the entire industry. There are only a few fighters in the history of the business who can replicate Bobby Lashley’s feats of strength, and that’s a very thin list too.
